Smart Annotations of Digital Catalogues

Promobutler is the biggest and most visited retail platform in Belgium. The platform displays catalogues & promotions to over 3 million unique visitors each month. A critical step in online publishing on their platform is to make all product information interactive: there should be a clear path for the viewer to convert to a customer.. Whenever a viewer clicks on a product in a catalogue, they are directly redirected to the product page on the online web shop of the seller. This way Promobutler generates a huge amount of sales leads every day.

Robotic data enrichment

Aside from very sharp service level agreements, the job of cutting out the products and making them interactively refer to the web shop is a strenuous manual and error-prone task. We automated this process end-to-end by using advanced OCR and Computer Vision techniques to detect the products in the catalogues. A robot then crawls the web shop of the retailer and searches for this product intelligently. If the product is found, the robot outlines the product with a clickable area that directly refers to the article in the web shop.

Scalability through automation

Besides from an enormous gain in speed and a significant decrease in errors, using Automagica allows Promobutler to scale almost indefinitely and enable them in their international growth ambitions.
